The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord,Searching all the innermost parts of his being. The cause of spiritual blindness is made quite clear in the Scriptures: "In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" ( 2 Corinthians 4:4 ). Without this preliminary ministry, the work of efficacious grace would be impossible. Rationalism approaches the problem from many angles. These things are foolish to them.
